Interneting LLC is a Michigan based software company. While artificial intelligence is an incredibly useful technology which can empower people to create more, artificial intelligence currently has two major drawbacks: protecting privacy and achieving profitability. The most common way large language models are currently used is that a user writes a prompt which is sent over the internet to a data center to be processed, and then the resulting tokens are streamed back to the user. This is not ideal for maintaining privacy or for protecting intellectual property. Additionally, building and maintaining numerous data centers comes with a cost that is often higher than what users are charged for accessing these services, thereby compromising profitability. This is done primarily to gain an advantage in market share by undercutting competitors. This means that in order to become profitable, the cost of using cloud based AI services will likely increase. We believe that the solution is to give users, regardless of their technical ability, an intuitive user interface which allows them to download and use any open source LLM they want on their own hardware. This enables users to use artificial intelligence and maintain complete control of their data, and it will enable Interneting LLC to become a profitable company once we launch our app because we do not have to bear the cost of the compute associated with running LLMs in order to do this. A major advantage of our AI strategy is that we will not need to charge users per token, therefore the only limit to how much text our users will be able to generate will be the space they have to store that text on their computer.
While our app is intended to be our first product and will launch the first version of our app for macOS during fall 2026, this will not be our last product. While our first product is a general product for casual users of AI, we believe that the advantages of running AI locally can applied to more specialized use cases, and we plan to build more specialized products tailored for those use cases. We believe that everyone should be able to use artificial intelligence to become more efficient at whatever it is they do without fear of their intellectual property being stolen or their privacy being violated. It is our intention to make sure our customers maintain ownership of their data.
